About Goldsmart™

Keith Perrin and Angela Best with over 30 years experience in the precious metals industry, established the GoldSmart Network™ to offer a fresh, honest and secure choice to people with gold to sell. We wanted:

  • to establish a fair, transparent system, where you get more for your gold
  • to offer a choice of where and when to sell
  • a system where valuations are independent, accurate, and reported directly to the customer
  • to license authorized GoldSmart™ agents across Canada, close to everyone

The GoldSmart Network™ began with over 100 Retail Agents across Canada, offering fair, accurate and independent valuations. We also offer a choice of: Gold Parties, Direct Mail-in and In-home consultations for your convenience.

The GoldSmart Network™ is a proud supporter of Jewellers Vigilance Canada and member of The International Precious Metals Institute.

Keith Perrin

  • Over 30 years in the precious metals business
  • VP of Corporate Sales Rembrandt Jewellery (a Johnson- Matthey Canada subsidiary)
  • 20 years with Handy & Harman of Canada, most recently as General Manager Refinery Operations
  • Past President of Jewellers Vigilance Canada, the industry watchdog of ethical practices
  • Past executive member of the Canadian Jewellers Association
  • Past executive member of the Canadian Jewellers 24 Karat Club
  • Active member of the International Precious Metals Institute
  • Keith founded The GoldSmart Network™, in partnership with Angela Best, in early 2009.

Angela Best

  • Angela Best’s early background in the dental industry lead her down the path to precious metals
  • 11 years in Sales and Marketing with Dentsply, the largest manufacturer of dental products worldwide
  • Angela is an authority on precious metal dental alloys including crown and bridge gold alloys
  • Worked with the Royal Canadian Mint’s Refining and Bullion Division; managing sales for the Crown Corporation throughout most of the world
  • In 2007, Angela became Manager of the Global Metals Division of Handy & Harman
  • In 2009, she left her full time role to focus on the business development side of The GoldSmart Network™
  • Continues to provide consulting services to the precious metals recovery industry
  • Professional member of the International Precious Metals Institute
  • In 2011, Angela will complete the walk in support of the Weekend to End Women’s Cancers
