How GoldSmart™ Calculates Prices
All GoldSmart prices are in Canadian dollars. We begin with the London 2nd Fixing for gold prices, the London Fix for silver prices and the Johnson-Matthey prices for platinum and palladium. These are all global standards for prices for their respective precious metals. We convert prices into Canadian dollars using the USD to CDN foreign exchange rate in effect at the time the markets are set. Prices are set daily.
